Herman Melville’s epic sea tale Moby Dick has been illustrated by the talented Ben Howe who’s paintings of surrealism and hyperrealism beautifully depicts the adventurous pursuit of a madman.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ben Howe is an Australian artist. He holds a Masters of fine art with distinction from RMIT and is the recipient of numerous grants, international residencies and fellowships. His paintings are often derived from preliminary explorations in other media, with a particular focus sculpture. These form the physical basis for the artworks, which capture all the imperfections and peculiarities of the clay.
